JUNE 2012 KITS

May saw us celebrate all that was pretty, delicate and feminine.. this month however, we have decided to switch our focus to more masculine, grungy, outdoorsy kind of layouts…

We hope you enjoy what we have created for you.

LAYOUT 1:  BOYS WILL BE BOYS

A lovely boys layout using a mix of blues, greens and cream papers from the Authentique - Loyal collection. You'll also make a lovely big flap to add some more photo's to, or your journaling.

NOTE:  NOT LIMITED TO BOYS: Although in boy colors, this layout can be adapted to suit other photos by simply changing the title with the lettering provided.

LAYOUT 2:  EXPEDITION

Using the fantastic grungy range by REMINISCE.  This layout is perfect for any of your outdoorsy or adventurous photos that you might have taken. 

It is also a very technique based layout, showing you how to create easy to use Chevrons.

JUNE 2012 NEWSLETTER

Hi ladies,  we are now in the middle of winter and I am sure you are all cozy and snuggled up with your heaters, old brown sherry and a couple of our Scrapbooking Kits to keep you warm and snug.. LOL

While you are getting cozy, we have been very busy this month and we were so well organised that 99% of the June kits were packed during the 2nd week of May - but low and behold, we had to order black brads from the States (could not find ANY in SA) for one of the kits …and what happens?  The good old SA Post Office decides to mess us around and go on STRIKE!  So we are really sorry, but ONCE AGAIN we have no idea when these darn things are going to arrive so we can finish packing your kits.  We are hoping desperately that the strike ends soon and that we can get your kits out asap.  Please note that we are NOT trying to mess you around and that this is really beyond our control. 

ONCE OFF OFFER:

We had to bring in extra paper to pack the TIME kit created in April 2011, however we still  have enough paper to put together another 19 kits!  If you were not lucky enough to get your hands on one of these fabulous kits, now is the TIME (lol)..

MAY 2012 KITS

As you know, May is the month we celebrate out wonderful Mothers.  We have decided to incorporate this theme into our May kit this month.  Remember that the title can be amended to suit your photos.. it can also be of your mom, you as a mom, or even of you as a mom of your “furbies”.. they are after all our children too.

Also don’t forget that May is National Scrapbooking Month as well.  Hop over to the various blogs and Scrapbooking sites doing challenges and get some layouts done, whilst hopefully winning a prize or two too.  

The May kits are ready for distribution, so if you haven't booked your kits or made payment, do so and we'll get them off to you.

This layout is titled Unforgettable and is a beautiful blend of red, black and cream.

You can use this layout for any Unforgettable memories you have.

MARCH 2012 KITS

UNEXPECTED DELAYS WITH PRODUCTS

March Kits : It would seem that 2012 is going to be known as the year of delays!  Our shipment with the products for the March kit is being held up at SA Customs for the last 10 days and at this stage there is no end in sight!  We are really unsure of when the government will finally release this shipment and we will be able to finish packing your kits for March. 

So, please bear with us, as soon as we have the products, believe me your kits will be on their way.

School Kits : When Sweet M designed the beautiful School Kit for us, she got the papers from the NEW section of her local scrapbook shop.  However, now that Nutty M has gone to purchase the papers from our USA supplier, we discovered that it is an old range that has been discontinued!  Can you believe it (Australia is really backwards, hey! lol)? 

So we are short of one of the papers needed for the kits but Sweet M and Nutty M are cruising ALL the online Scrapbook sites and slowly gathering whatever papers we can find for the kit.  This has resulted in a bit of a delay on the School kits.

LAYOUT 1:  GENUINE

Time to get down and grungy.. this layout is so fun! 

In shades of yellow and blue, this layout is perfect for any photos you might have.

As we know a lot of you do NOT have school kids or school photos to scrap, we have not included a School layout in our Monthly kits this year.. HOWEVER, we also know that a lot of you DO have school kids and school photos.. so... bearing this in mind.. Sweet M has decided to create an extra double page layout just for you school mommies out there.. 


This layout is on order only and we will only be packing a small amount.. so if you would like to order, please remember to do so by contacting Michele (aka Nutty M) at info@thevillagescrapper.co.za as soon as possible to secure yours. 


Price for the double page layout is R160-00 excluding delivery, but you can save on this if we deliver this kit with your March order.

SCRAPAHOLIC RETREAT

Ok ladies… You have all been asking for it.. here we go.. (drum roll please…)

Dates have been confirmed for our Annual Scrapbooking Retreat…These are from Thursday the 9th August (evening start, arrive any time after lunch) and depart on Sunday 12th August before lunch.  This means you will have 3 nights and 2 ½+ days of scrapping, cropping and enjoying “time out” to feed your addiction.

VENUE:          

Olifants River Lodge is situated between Middelburg and Witbank on the banks of the Great Olifants River, one and a half hours' drive from Pretoria and OR Tambo International Airport and less than two hours' drive from Nelspruit and Kruger National Park.

A stretch of secondary road over a koppie, descending into the valley below, gives you a glimpse of the breathtaking location of the Lodge. Set in the heart of Mpumalanga - S.A's cultural homeland - The Olifants River Lodge illustrates our rich heritage in terms of our beautiful landscapes.
